MUSEUM ART & HISTORY
The Museum of Art & History is organising a study day dedicated to the decorative arts and craft industries of the nineteenth century. The event aims to foster dialogue at the intersection of different disciplines and perspectives, with particular attention to exchange between art historians and historians, curators, students, heritage enthusiasts, and others interested in making processes and techniques.
Lunch will be provided based on the number of registrations as of 10 March.

The Dawn That Illuminates the World. Persian Poetry at the Art & History Museum

Programme
14:00 – 14:50 Brief introduction to classical Persian poetry and recitations of poetic verses on objects, accompanied by live music.
15:00 – 15:45 Guided tour of the Art of the Islamic World galleries, with a focus on objects bearing poetic verses. The guided tour is in Dutch or French.
